Conversation Topics and Tips

Write About Your Interests
What do you like to do in your free time? Which subjects do you love to learn about? Maybe write about a similar interest between you and your pen-pal or why you wanted to match with that person.
Write About Your Closest Relationships
Do you have a best friend? What do you like to talk about with that person? Are you close with your siblings and or parents? Do you have a pet? How do you spend time with them?
Don't write too much
It can be very easy to start rambling, but write like you're having a conversation with your pen-pal. You don't have to tell them everything immediately. Take the time to learn more about your friend and their interests.
Don't write too little
The only way you can form a meaningful connection with your pal is if you are willing to put effort.
Schedule in-person or virtual meetings
It is optional to do so and it's only possible if both you and your pal consent, but we recommend it. It's much easier to make more personal and meaningful relationships if you can talk face-to-face.
